What I Love About San Antonio
This is the first in a series of “What I Love About San Antonio”. There is so much to love about San Antonio. It is the second largest city in Texas, ahead of Dallas, Austin and Fort Worth and the seventh largest city in the U.S. It's also one of the major “destination cities” in the world.
San Antonio has a deep history and is known world-wide as the home of the Alamo. A unique American city, San Antonio is vibrant, growing and colorful. From Market Square, and the San Antonio Farmer's Market, to the River Walk, to the Alamo, to the famed, San Antonio Zoo, there are so many attractions, museums and activities that make it one of the most desirable places to live.
San Antonio is home of the “Tejano Music Awards”, and an active community of musicians, venues and entertainers. Plus, it is home to the Spurs, the best team in NBA history. And it is home to the best “Mexican” restaurants in the world.
San Antonio also has some major attractions, including Sea World and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It's also home to San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and some of the oldest missions in Texas.
Between world-class restaurants, NBA basketball, the River Walk, the Alamo, the Zoo, museums and abundant music venues, there is always something fun and entertaining to do in San Antonio.
We will be exploring the “best of San Antonio”, in coming editions of, “What I Love About San Antonio”.
